An internship program is available for persons who have the vision to establish their own enterprise in the prefecture. Entrepreneurs work temporarily with venture companies located in the prefecture, which provide information and management method counseling and help them along the path to success. The Tokushima New Business Council, Tokushima Prefecture, and other industry support organizations offer a full-fledged program of support for interns after their training. The fair serves to disseminate information from the heart of Tokushima's pioneering industries, passing along news pertaining to new business initiatives in Shikoku. A ceremony is also held to present the Tokushima New Business Support Award, with the winner receiving a prize of 1 million yen in addition to a supplementary prize (support plans, such as help with exhibiting products, etc.). The Center is involved with supporting the development of local industry through research and development, training, and promoting computerization. Providing incubation space for new businesses Entrepreneurs from outside the prefecture who meet certain conditions are provided with office space free of charge for two years. Space for rent: 1 room = 40 m2 Rent: Free of charge or half the price Tokushima SOHO Place Located inside the Tokushima Health Science Integrated Center, this facility for entrepreneurs takes advantage of various information technologies to assist their efforts to be self-reliant by providing information and helping to expand sales routes.
